Understanding CDcare's Return Process: What Happens When You Can No Longer Afford an Item.

The CDcare shopping experience is all about simplicity and convenience. Our aim is to ensure a stress-free process, allowing you to embrace a lifestyle of ease. We've carefully crafted flexible installment plans that empower individuals across Africa to make purchases from CDcare without the burden of added costs, paying what they can comfortably afford on a weekly or monthly basis.

At CDcare, we understand that your financial circumstances can change. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, making it challenging to continue paying for an item. In such cases, CDcare encourages you to proactively return the product you can no longer afford, and we will assess the item and explain the settlement process, including whether any refund or remaining balance may result.

For instance, let's consider the scenario where you've ordered a phone worth 100,000 Naira. You've made an initial payment of 50,000 Naira, leaving a balance of 50,000 Naira for the item.

If circumstances change and you're unable to continue payments, CDcare offers you the option to return the item to our office located at 6, Ike Asogwa, Anthony, Lagos, or to any of our retrieval officers.

CDcare holds the item for 30 days from the recorded return or retrieval date. You can usually resume payments and arrange to reclaim it during this period; in some cases, full payment is required before release.

After the 30-day period, if the payment remains outstanding, CDcare will assist you in finding a buyer for the returned item. The payment owed will be deducted, and the remaining balance will be refunded to you.

Resale value depends on the item’s condition and the offers available; no resale percentage is guaranteed. For example, if a buyer offers 80,000 Naira for the returned phone initially priced at 100,000 Naira, CDcare will deduct the owed 50,000 Naira and the potential refund is 30,000 Naira before applicable fees and costs are deducted.

In situations where retrieval officers are involved in the item's return, any costs incurred during the process will need to be covered by you before the balance of the resale amount is refunded.

We are committed to transparency and ensuring your financial stability throughout your CDcare journey. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the return process, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team by emailing support@cdcare.ng.

Your satisfaction and financial success remains our top priority, and we're here to assist you every step of the way.

Returning, reclaiming and resale

The 30-calendar-day holding period starts from the recorded date of return or retrieval.

Returning the item stops new failure-to-return fees. Previously accrued fees, applicable costs and any outstanding balance remain subject to settlement.

During the 30-day holding period, you can usually resume payments and arrange to reclaim your item. In some cases, CDcare may require full payment of the outstanding balance and applicable charges before releasing the item. Contact us to confirm the requirements for your account.

If the item is not reclaimed during the holding period, CDcare will send a separate resale-offer notice with the offer, deductions and a response deadline of at least 24 hours. The response deadline does not itself complete the transaction. Settlement is confirmed after it has been recorded.

A refund is only available if the resale proceeds exceed the outstanding balance and applicable charges. Accrued failure-to-return fees, retrieval costs, other applicable charges, or a lower resale value because of damage, misuse or the item’s condition may leave no refund. You may still owe a remaining balance after resale; CDcare will provide a settlement breakdown.
