What this notice covers
This notice explains how CD Care Limited handles information when you use CDmessager, CDChat or another CDcare messaging and support experience. It supplements the main CDcare Privacy Policy.
Where this notice and the main Privacy Policy address the same information, they should be read together.
Information used by the messaging service
The service may process your account identifier, name, contact details, messages, timestamps, attachments you choose to send, delivery or read status, assigned support agent and conversation history.
Technical information such as device type, browser or app version, IP address, session identifiers and diagnostic events may be used to operate, secure and improve the service.
Camera, microphone and files
CDmessager only uses photos, camera, microphone or files when you choose to capture, attach, upload or send content, or when you begin a supported voice or video interaction.
You can control device permissions through your phone, browser or operating-system settings. Removing a permission may limit the related messaging feature.
How the information is used
Information is used to deliver messages, identify your account, respond to enquiries, resolve payment, delivery or product issues, protect customers from fraud, maintain service records and improve support quality.
Where required, relevant conversation information may be connected to your CDcare customer, product, payment, delivery or after-sales record so the right team can assist you.
Who may receive the information
Authorised CDcare staff and approved service providers may access the information only where necessary to provide, secure or support the service.
CDcare does not sell your private message content. Information may be disclosed where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as otherwise described in the main CDcare Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
Conversation records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for customer support, transaction records, fraud prevention, legal obligations and dispute resolution.
You may request access, correction or deletion of eligible personal information by contacting CDcare. Some records may need to be retained where the law or an active transaction requires it.
Security and your choices
CDcare uses reasonable organisational and technical controls to protect messaging information. No digital service can guarantee absolute security, so never share your password, PIN or one-time code in a conversation.
You may manage notification and device permissions in your device settings and may choose not to upload optional attachments.
Contact and updates
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@cdcare.ng. CDcare may update this notice as the messaging service changes and will publish the current edition on this page.
