At CDcare, we understand that things don’t always go as planned.
If you’re unable to continue your installment payments, there is still a way to recover part of your money and move forward. You’re not stuck, you have an option
If you can no longer keep up with your payments, you are not locked in.
Instead of holding on to the item and incurring ongoing charges, you can return it and recover part of what you’ve already paid. Why acting early matters
Once the grace period expires, keeping the item without payment will lead to Failure-to-Return Fees, which continue on every payment cycle.
Returning the item early helps you:
Avoid additional charges
Protect your balance
Maximise what you can recover
How the process works
1. Return the item
If you’re unable to continue payments, return the item within the grace period.
You can:
Drop it off at any CDcare pickup center
Or contact us to arrange a pickup
2. 30-day holding period
Once the item is received, it will be held for up to 30 days.
This gives you time to:
Resume your payments
Continue your plan and take the item back
3. If you’re still unable to continue
If you do not resume payments within 30 days:
The item will be assessed based on its current market value and condition
CDcare will assist in finding a buyer
4. Settlement and refund
From the value of the item:
Your outstanding balance will be deducted
Applicable charges will be deducted
Any remaining balance will be refunded to you
Simple rule to follow
If you can’t continue payments:
👉 Return the item early
The earlier you act, the more you protect your money.
Think of it as a reset
Returning your item is not the end, it’s a way to:
Reduce losses
Recover part of your money
Stabilise your finances
And when you’re ready, you can always come back and continue your journey with CDcare.
