Here’s a detailed look at the key features and capabilities of the Sony FX3: Key Features of the Sony FX3: Full-Frame Sensor: The Sony FX3 is equipped with a 35mm full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor, which provides excellent low-light performance, high dynamic range, and a shallow depth of field. This makes it ideal for cinematic-quality footage with beautiful bokeh and detail. CineAlta Image Quality: As part of Sony’s Cinema Line, the FX3 delivers the CineAlta image quality, offering stunning 4K recording at up to 120 fps (frames per second) for slow-motion footage, as well as 16-bit RAW audio output via HDMI for maximum flexibility in post-production. 4K Recording: The camera supports 4K recording in both 10-bit 4:2:2 color depth and S-Log3, providing exceptional color grading flexibility. It can shoot at up to 60fps in 4K and up to 120fps in Full HD for smooth slow-motion capture. It includes Real-time Eye AF for both humans and animals, as well as Face Detection for improved subject tracking. In-Body Stabilization (IBIS): The FX3 includes 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) to reduce camera shake, allowing for smooth handheld shots even without a gimbal, and making it easier to achieve cinematic shots in dynamic situations. Versatile Audio Options: The camera has a 3.5mm microphone input, XLR inputs via a detachable top handle, and advanced audio controls for capturing high-quality sound. This makes it well-suited for professional audio recording during video production. Ergonomic Design: The camera has a well-designed body with easy-to-reach buttons and dials, making it comfortable for handheld shooting or use with external rigs. It also features a fully articulating LCD touchscreen, allowing for flexible shooting angles. Cine Modes & LUTs: The camera includes customizable LUTs (Look-Up Tables) and built-in Cine EI mode for a more cinematic look straight out of the camera, enabling quick color grading and creative looks.
