Samson Sr850: specifications and details

The Samson SR850 Studio Headphones are a popular choice among audiophiles and music professionals due to their affordability and sound quality. They are open-back, over-ear headphones, making them ideal for studio use where natural, clear, and balanced sound is crucial. Key Features: Sound Quality: They offer a wide frequency response, typically from 10 Hz to 30 kHz, which ensures that both low-end and high-end frequencies are well represented. The open-back design provides a more natural and open sound, making them suitable for mixing and mastering tasks. Comfort: The ear pads are large and soft, which helps in providing comfort for extended listening sessions. The headband is adjustable to fit different head sizes. Design: The SR850 has a sleek, professional design. While the build quality is mostly plastic, it is robust enough for everyday use. Impedance: These headphones come with an impedance of 32 ohms, making them easy to drive even with portable devices like smartphones or laptops, though they may perform better with audio interfaces or headphone amplifiers. Ideal Usage: Due to the open-back design, the SR850s are not the best for casual or outdoor use because they allow sound to leak in and out. They are better for controlled environments like recording studios, home studios, or for critical listening.
